Wargasm
If chaos was a band it would be Wargasm and their show at the O2 Academy in Birmingham proved it.
They burst onto stage with their Slipknot inspired single Super Fiend, setting the tone for the evening. Energy. Barely a song in and mosh pits had already broken out.
They followed with ‘D.R.I.L.D.O’ and ‘Salma Hayek’ with intense instrumentals, powerful vocals and a whole lot of jumping in the crowd.
The intensity of ‘Rage all over’ created a frenzy of fans moshing, encouragement from both Sam and Milkie as they matched the crowd’s energy.
The middle of the set incorporated some older tracks, a great edition to the well picked set list. ‘Fukstar’ bought even more energy back, chants erupting from the audience as crowd surfers were catapulted forward.
With Sam and Milkie’s perfect stage presence there wasn’t a moment of standing still especially as ‘Scratchcard Feeling’ and ‘Lapdance’ were played.
The final song ‘SPIT’ had Sam joining the crowd surfers for the encore. A lot of gigs might have lost their energy at this stage but this was not the case with Wargasm who gave everything right until the last second.
Somehow they managed to fit all of this carnage into an hour. Their merch said ‘I gave blood to the pit’ and they weren’t wrong.
Perfect angry songs for sad people with a live show you would not want to miss.
