Local Rainbow, are releasing their first single this year, ‘Boys in Bands’ on 28th July. As hinted at in the title, this track discusses idolising boys in bands and falling for musicians, more specifically... advising not to fall for them!
Starting off with a great intro and showcasing beautiful vocals, the track instantly sticks in your head, an indie/ bedroom pop sound alongside a grungy punk theme, a perfect contrast.

The chorus builds carefully with dynamic vocals.
Before the bridge the layered vocals alongside the instrumental adds depth leading into the bridge. The track slows allowing the vocals and lyrics to become more prominent, a captivating part of the single. The drums return, slowly building when the chorus hits for a final time, a perfect way to end the song.
An intriguing intro, impressive vocals and great build ups. ‘Boys in Bands’ is a perfectly structured track; one you’ll certainly want on repeat.
Make sure you pre-save it ready for 28th July!
