'Midas Touch' - New Single from Leah Mason

Singer – songwriter Leah Mason has shared new single ‘Midas Touch’. This track comes alongside exciting news of her debut album ‘Hex’ out in just under two months on 26^th July. This track is dreamy and a highlight for Leah Mason's vocals.  

The track flows softly, and you are easily drawn in through the feathery sounding vocals. A gentle build occurs throughout with a slower beat which brings emphasis to the lyrics. She hasn’t been afraid to explore a higher range which suits her voice well adding a powerful note. 

The lyrics talk about being ‘the one before the one’ and watching as someone moves to build a life with someone else. The production, alongside the softer vocals add to a sense of longing the track evokes. The dreamlike production and sound continues to fade out and close the track effectively.  

Although Mason’s previous singles have come with a bold tone and not shied away from honesty, 'Midas Touch’ taps into a more vulnerable side that she’s clearly suited to. Represented both through the open lyrics and heartfelt vocals, this indie-pop ballad is more emotional and moving. Not without its catchy chorus's ‘Midas Touch’ is bound to stick with you.
